“Across My Sleep “

To quote a rabbit poem

“But the bird flew away and now my hart is dark
and time will never play in the fields again.”

Say what you will, but those rabbits are eloquent, well spoken little bucks and does.

Yesterday, I spent roughly six hours looking for my Passport. Don’t ask why. I just wanted to make sure I knew where it was. I never found it. It was not in the last place I looked. Handsome Rob felt the need to remind me that “it’s always in the last place you look, cause then you stop looking for it!” That was incredibly helpful I’ll have you know. In the process of looking for the aforementioned document, I found numerous other things I had obviously saved “just in case” I wanted them later. In truth it was trash. This habit of not throwing things out is one I am determined to break. Clutter really unsettles me. Almost as much as hugs used too. I threw out two garbage bags worth of papers and other useless items. I must say, I had to catch myself saving something every now and then. I suppose ridding myself of such material weight is in some way a positive point in the whole Passport hunt. I did find a sweet box of children’s bow-ties though!

Speaking of bow-ties, I need to go to some thrift stores and look for a white one. Ahh, thrift stores. How often I find nothing I want. But I am also amazed at how many items look very similar to something I owned in my younger days. Thank goodness I eventually discovered black. That made things so much more simple. For the sake of socially induced norms, I try to balance my dark color choices out with some more lively ones. Recently that Muller boy said, “Where the heck did you get that? HAHAHA, that’s not a Kevin’s shirt!” Apparently my attempts to look a little more generically preppy had passed the line of subtlety. Thankfully no one else was the wiser. Until now.

On the matter of footwear, I WANT SOME NEW SHOES. Too many.

Have you ever heard The Sound? I listened to one of their albums a few days ago. Surprisingly good. Seem to be one of many excellent bands overlooked by the mainstream. If you like Joy Division you might like The Sound also. I recommend the track “Winning”. Since I’m on the subject of music, if you’ve never heard the album “Boy’s Don’t Cry” by The Cure, it’s worth the while. Unless you’ve got better things to worry about. In the case of the latter, “hop to it!”

she’ll never stop, never sink, the angel I saw, all dressed in pen and ink

You know, I never used to throw stuff out, since I tend to designate every other thing that I set my hands upon as a souvenier, until one day when I had the pleasure of tidying up my cleptmaniac aunt’s apartment and then I decided that I had to live more clutter free. It’s nice, huh?

I’ve got a white silk bow tie if you want it. It’s a manual one though, no pre-fab clip on baby stuff.
