absolutely, with out a single doubt...ELECTRICITY

don't even question that one. hauling water in bucks is nothing compared with not having a light to study with at night or a refrigerator to keep meat and vegetables from spoiling in. actually, not having running water kind of becomes something you forget about after a while, where as not having lights?? eeesh, that's really cavemen days in my opinion.

which, of course, I am all to happy to spurt on about. perhaps I should work on my sociālis.

I am gonna go with running water. There are many hours of daylight to help with the lighting situation of no electricity. Also there are things you can do to generate electricity such as, rubbing your sock feet against carpet. Of course harnessing that kind of electricity could be a problem. You can do other things too though. Like hooking wires to a stationary bike and riding it with all your might to run a television or a lamp while you try to do this weeks Bible reading after dark. How are ya gonna get clean running water though? Sounds like a trip to the local creek with a handy filter in tow. Yep, my vote is definitely running water beats electricity.
