I’ll tell me ma
when I go home
the boys won’t leave the girls alone
they pull my hair they stole my comb
well that’s all right till I go home…
One of the things those who occupy the center of attention (or close to it) miss out on, is seeing what they look like. It’s not so much, the individual that is important to observe, although that is a worthwhile venue of observation, but rather just the role they play or try to play. People vying for attention in a room dissolves any veneer of character they may have installed. Suddenly one finds themselves so locked into the subordinate goal of being given attention that they have forgotten the real reason people even associate with one another, to share. It’s a give and take.
Interestingly (italics mine)
Latin sociālis, of companionship, from socius, companion
The term social is derived from the Latin word socius, which as a noun means “an associate, ally, companion, business partner or comrade” and in the adjectival form socialis refers to “a bond between people” (such as marriage) or to their collective or connected existence.
attitudes, orientations or behaviors which take the interests, intentions or needs of other people into account (in contrast to anti-social behavior)
Companion, in its most common meaning, refers to a close friend or associate. The word originates in the Latin language, meaning “one who shares bread,” and so often hold connotations of a comrade or “mess-mate” with whom one eats.
All seriousness aside. I am so competitive.
If you must ask, no! I actually wasn’t hoping to be disappointed.
Frightened? Yes I was. Terribly. To make matters worse, it wasn’t a dream.
I feel like mailing something.
Saw a book that looked cool today. True Stories of Great Escapes it’s a Readers Digest publication. Out of print unfortunately. I found it at some online booksellers for cheap, but I’m still not sure if I’ll get it. I bet it’s neat though. I almost asked the person who owned it if they would sell it to me. But I thought it impolite.

i find ppl who need to be the center of attention annoyin. i’m noticin it more and more in certain friendz. ppl change around other ppl, i’m not a fan of that either. i mean granted pplz personalitilez vary greatly and have many aspectz to em, and different ppl bring out those different aspectz. i’m a perfect example of this. but itz bothersome when all the sudden some1 developz a new trait or way of being on the spot just to fit or impress whoz around. ok, i vented a bit now itz off to pay bill!! no, not bill, billz!!…..gross.
