Deliberate silence is entertaining, but I doubt it’s endearing. Good to remember.
With some people, it’s just not an effort. Some smiles are so genuine. I saw these two kids a few weeks ago, Kate and Corbin. Man they were cute. I asked Corbin if he could “do this”, jump up and click his heels together, it was hilarious to watch him try.
A stair, a stiff, the distance, crossing a rift
If I smile for long enough will I be happy
If take my time will I get faster
If I ignore you will we get closer
If I smash the mirror will I look better
Why am I always bleeding this way
It’s never on the outside and it’s never for looks
Never isn’t ever what I mean to say
Oh how our parents suffered for nothing
Live the dream like the 80’s never happened
People are afraid to merge on the freeway
Disappear here…
…Because East London is a vampire, it sucks the joy right out of me
